MAPLEHOMES

Policies

Our policies

How we use your information, how we handle complaints, and how we act against modern slavery. Ask us if you need any of these in another format.

Privacy and cookies

Maple Homes is being established. This website collects no personal information: it has no forms, sets no cookies and loads nothing from other websites. Before we collect any personal information, this notice will name the data controller. We will handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Information about your tenancy, your home and any repairs.
  • Information you give us about your household and any support needs, so we can adapt our services.
  • Records of your contact with us, including complaints.

Why we use it

  • To manage your tenancy and keep your home safe and in good repair.
  • To respond to enquiries and complaints.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory duties as a landlord.

Who we share it with

Only where we need to: the council that nominated you, contractors carrying out repairs, and regulators or the Housing Ombudsman where the law requires. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

Only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use only the cookies this website needs to work. We ask your permission before using any others.

Complaints

Our complaints process follows the Housing Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code. It has two stages, and if you are still unhappy you can go to the Housing Ombudsman Service.

Modern slavery statement

Maple Homes does not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains. We publish this statement voluntarily.

Our commitments

  • We expect every contractor and supplier to meet the standards of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and we include this in our contracts.
  • We carry out checks on the right to work and on fair pay for the people who work for us.
  • We train our staff to recognise the signs of modern slavery and know how to report concerns.
  • Anyone can raise a concern with us in confidence, without fear of reprisal.

The board reviews and approves this statement every year.
